I recently spent a weekend in Berlin, Germany. I was booked on a Wednesday for a live performance that Friday, so I ended up on a plane on Thursday morning. How’s that for spontaneous? The joys of being a professional rapper!
I’ve been to Berlin many times but this was my first opportunity to perform in the city. So despite not have complete information about the logistics of the whole thing, I figured there was more to gain than to lose.
So I made my way to Gatwick Airport early on Thursday morning to fly out to Germany for the weekend. I missed my train to the airport. If you follow me on Snapchat then you know how that happened...
Anyway I made it safely to Berlin on Thursday morning and the evening putting my setlist together for Friday night’s gig. I didn’t know what sort of crowd to expect so I mixed up the song choices – including some bangers, some introspective stuff and some stuff in the middle.
On Friday afternoon I headed to the Bikini Berlin shopping centre in Charlottenburg, where the event would be taking place.
Before my gig, I had a photoshoot with Kai Stuht, a well known photographer in Germany who has a major resume. He’s shot many celebrities and artists including Dr. Dre, Swizz Beatz, Linkin Park and Xzibit, so I knew I would be in great company!
We took over 200 photos in total and I now have some incredible new photos for my portfolio! Here are a few of my favourite photos from the shoot:

The night’s gig went well too. The crowd was small but super attentive and appreciative of my music and performance – which is the most important thing. I gave it my all (as always) and received a lot of props after the show. So it definitely won’t be my last gig in Berlin!
